NWSL roundup: Pride draw with Current, remain unbeaten

Pride hold Current to 0-0 draw, extend unbeaten streak to four

The Orlando Pride and the Kansas City Current played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday night at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Fla. The Pride remain unbeaten in four matches this season, while the Current extend their unbeaten streak to three. Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris made two saves in the match, while Current goalkeeper Adrianna Franch made four saves. The Pride had the better of the chances in the first half. In the 18th minute, Marta played a ball over the top of the Current defense to Alex Morgan, who took a shot from just outside the box. Franch made a diving save to keep the match scoreless. The Pride continued to press in the second half, but they were unable to find a breakthrough. In the 75th minute, Emily Sonnett had a chance to win the match for the Pride, but her shot from inside the box went just wide of the net. The draw leaves the Pride in third place in the NWSL standings with seven points from four matches. The Current are in fifth place with five points from three matches.

The Pride will travel to face the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, May 14. The Current will host the Washington Spirit on Sunday, May 15.
