Overcome 18-Point Deficit Against Timberwolves

Mavs Now Hold 2-0 Series Lead

The Dallas Mavericks overcame an 18-point deficit to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road Friday night, winning 109-108 to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.

The Timberwolves led by 18 points in the third quarter, but the Mavericks rallied back to tie the game with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Spencer Dinwiddie hit a jumper with less than a minute left to give the Mavericks the lead, and the Timberwolves missed a potential game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists. Dinwiddie added 21 points, and Jalen Brunson had 17 points. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 32 points and 15 rebounds, and Anthony Edwards had 22 points.

The Mavericks will host Game 3 of the series on Sunday night at American Airlines Center.
