Labour is ready to govern, says Starmer
Labour figures have been using it to their advantage - everyone will get their sparkle back under the party.
Party leader Keir Starmer emphasised that Labour believes it is ready to govern after what he described as "12 wasted years" of Conservative rule.
In a speech to the party's conference, Starmer said that Labour had "a plan to change Britain" and that it was "time for change".
He said that Labour would focus on "building a fairer, more prosperous society" and that it would "put the interests of working people first".
Starmer also said that Labour would "fight for a better future for all" and that it would "make Britain a fairer, more prosperous and more united country".
