Crystal Palace star Michael Olise ruled out for weeks with hamstring injury
Hodgson confirms Olise set for lengthy spell on sidelines
Winger to miss crucial run of fixtures for Eagles
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Michael Olise has suffered a serious hamstring injury that will rule him out for several weeks.
The 20-year-old winger, who has been a key player for Palace this season, was forced off during the first half of Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Brentford.
Hodgson said after the game that Olise had suffered a "significant" hamstring injury and that he would be out for "a few weeks".
This is a major blow for Palace, who are already without Eberechi Eze and James McArthur through injury.
Olise has been one of Palace's most impressive performers this season, scoring two goals in seven Premier League appearances.
His absence will be a major blow to Hodgson's side, who are currently 15th in the table, just four points above the relegation zone.
Palace face a tough run of fixtures in the coming weeks, with matches against Everton, Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal all on the horizon.
Hodgson will be hoping that Olise can return to action as soon as possible, but it seems likely that he will be out for at least a month.
